Umair Mohammed graduated from Dundee Dental School in 2010. Following his graduation, he worked in an NHS practice in East Lothian for one year before spending 6 months as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This was followed by a further 6 months working in the community dental service treating children and vulnerable adults.

His interests in dentistry are restorative dentistry and oral surgery. In 2015, Umair completed a diploma in Sports Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute (London)which involves the prevention and acute management of oral and facial injuries, trauma, diseases which affect elite and amateur athletes. He is currently affiliated with Edinburgh and Scottish Rugby, Scottish and British Judo, Cricket Scotland and Scottish Hockey.
